Europe supports rule in Syria by groups it calls terrorist?

AhlulBayt News Agency:  The foreign ministers of Germany and France arrived in Damascus to meet with the new rulers of the Syrian capital, nearly a month after the fall of Bashar al-Assad's government; a visit that marks the highest level of European political visit to Syria since the subversion of Assad.

These visits took place after 13 years under conditions where Ahmed al-Sharaa or so-called Abu Mohammed al-Julani, the new ruler of Syria, is still on the US and EU terrorist lists. In fact, the French and German Foreign Ministers Jean-Noël Barrow and Annalena Baerbock negotiated with a terrorist about the future of Syria.

About her trip to Syria, Annalena Baerbock said that Germany pursued the same goal that millions of Syrians pursue; that Syria once again becomes a respected member of the international community.

Thirteen years ago, European countries, led by France and Germany, supported terrorist and Takfiri groups and trumpeted the very voice of support for the Syrian people. At that time, Daesh and other Takfiri groups, such as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), were seeking to establish a Deash government based on their Takfiri ideas and misconceptions about Islam.

At that time, Europeans supported the Takfiris to the possible maximum extent in order to reach Syria through the Turkish channel. European nationals who were members of the Daesh terrorist group and other Takfiri terrorist groups would not have been able to go to Syria without the assistance of European governments, especially since most of these people were surveilled by European security services.

Of course, Europe suffered serious blows from the association with Takfiri terrorist groups. Terrorist attacks in various European cities in the past decade were the result of this association. However, European governments used these terrorist incidents as an excuse for interventions in West Asian and North African countries. After the brutal crimes of Daesh and other Takfiri groups were exposed, unity and cohesion were formed in Syrian society thanks to the endeavors of the Resistance Axis.

The unity, empowered by the Iranian advisors, especially the Martyr Lt. Gen. Soleimani, ultimately led to the defeat of Daesh and the retreat of Takfiri groups such as Tahrir al-Sham.

Unfortunately, Assad did not make the best of the opportunity fostered by the Syrian national unity during the defeat of the US-backed Daesh terrorist group. The occasion was the best opportunity to form a national government with the presence of different religious sects and parties in Syria. So, eventually, those who voraciously sought to occupy Syrian soil, including the Israeli regime and the US, exploited the gap in the political and military systems of Syria and they dealt the final blow to the Assad government.

The German Minister announced in a statement about FM Baerbock's visit to Syria that her meetings in Syria revolved around political transition and the protection of Syrian women's rights and peaceful developments in the country.

The humanitarian slogans the Europeans are hyping seem to be simple ways of infiltrating Syrians in all areas.  If the German Foreign Minister is truly concerned about women's rights in Syria, why doesn't she have the same compassion for Palestinian women? According to statistics published so far, nearly 46,000 Palestinians have been martyred in Gaza in the past year, two-thirds of whom are women and children.

To put it in a nutshell, the fact is that the West is pursuing goals in Syria beyond the formation of an inclusive national government. The Europeans seek a Syria that is not a danger to the Israeli regime and that is placed among the countries under the West's domination; therefore, the form of the ruling system established on Syrian soil is not important for it, although it tries to give it a democratic form.

If it were not the case, they would not have demanded that a group along with its leader, which is still on the list of terrorist groups, protect the rights of women and minorities.
