AhlulBayt News Agency: The 7th edition of the ‘Spirit of Prophethood’ international conference for women is taking place in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq.
It has been organized by the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine on the occasion of Hazrat Zahra (SA) birth anniversary.
The opening ceremony of the conference included Quran recitation by Iraqi female qari Narjis Qalandar and a speech by Bushra al-Kanay, head of Al-Kafeel schools for women affiliated to the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine.
Women scholars and researchers from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Bahrain are attending the conference, whose motto is “Hazrat Zahra (SA); the embodiment of the light of Prophethood and Imamate”.
They present papers on the life, character and virtues of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
An examination of historical and ideological narratives about Hazrat Zahara (SA) and the role of Hazrat Zahra (SA) as a model for enhancing identity and promoting self-efficacy among Bahraini women are among the papers presented at the conference.
