AhlulBayt News Agency: Qatar’s ministry of foreign affairs said on Tuesday that the ceasefire consultations over the Gaza Strip are still underway in Cairo and Doha, affirming it would not be possible to tell when an agreement in this regard could be reached.
This came in a news conference held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, by Majed al-Ansari, advisor to Qatar’s prime minister and spokesman for the foreign ministry.
Ansari said that the talks to reach a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement are now being held in Doha at a technical level in coordination with Egypt.
“As you know, we are constantly coordinating with our brothers in Egypt. I cannot now comment on the progress of these talks, but I can say that they are ongoing. No one can say for sure the timeframe within which the agreement will be reached,” the spokesman said.
