AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Wednesday evening, December 27, 2024, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, speaking to worshippers at the Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque in Zahedan, referred to a hadith from Imam Reza (a.s.) about the three traits of a believer. “These three traits include a tradition from God, a tradition from the Prophet, and a tradition from the Imam,” he explained.
The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The tradition of God we must observe is secrecy; the tradition of the Prophet is tolerance and gentleness with people; and the tradition of the Imam that we must observe is patience in times of hardship and distress.”
Explaining secrecy as a tradition of God, he said, “According to hadiths, if people’s inner states were revealed, they would not even bury one another! God is the Concealer of faults, the Forgiver, and the Keeper of people’s secrets.”
“Everyone should strive to support others instead of fault-finding. A believer must endure hardships. True believers are characterized by genuine faith. Love and hatred, in their rightful place, require resistance,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.
The member of the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “Confronting the enemy is important in its place, but we must be kind to each other. Just as we ask God to always look after us, we must act similarly.”
Referring to the trait of patience and resilience, he emphasized, “Being alongside the guardian of God is highly significant. Being with Imam Mahdi (a.s.), awaiting his reappearance, means practicing patience and resistance.”
On the responsibilities and characteristics of those awaiting the Reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a.s.), Ayatollah Ramazani said, “The duties of those awaiting him include self-purification, guiding others, and preparing the grounds for his Reappearance. They must also have knowledge and love for Imam Mahdi (a.s.) and obey his commands.”
The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Some say, ‘When Imam Mahdi (a.s.) appears, we will obey him.’ To such people, it must be said that Imam Mahdi (a.s.) is present and leading now; he is only hidden from our sight. Therefore, we must support him even at this moment.”
Highlighting the importance of adherence to religious leadership and Wilayat during the Occultation of Imam Mahdi (a.s.), he remarked, “During the Occultation, we must pay attention to the guidance of Marjaiat (Shiite leadership) and Wilayat (of Faqih). Anyone who wishes to preserve his faith must strive and guard their eyes, ears, and tongue.”
Concluding his remarks, alluding to the story of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his envoy to Kufa, Muslim ibn Aqil, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “We must obey the Muslim (ibn Aqeel) of our time, (Ayatollah Khamenei,) so that our Imam (Mahdi) is not left alone. By following him (Ayatollah Khamenei), we can prepare the grounds for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a.s.).”
