AhlulBayt News Agency: The Seerah and invaluable teachings of Hazrat Zahra (SA) serve as an inspiration for women ad elites today, a University of Jakarta professor said.
Nang Dara Afiyah made the remark in an address to a webinar on the Character of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
The online seminar was organized by Fatimiya Jamaah Ahlulbait Indonesia (IJABI) on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) daughter (SA).
In her speech, Afiyah elaborated on the Seerah of Hazrat Zahra (SA) and said the great lady’s main mission was explaining divine teachings.
She said Hazrat Zahra (SA) is not only a model of faith, selflessness, and kindness, but also a symbol of the greatness of a devoted mother and wife.
While nurturing future generations, she played an unparalleled role as a wise leader in her community, contributing significantly to social and cultural transformations, the Indonesian scholar stated.
Dada Saadah from Sunan Gunung Jati University in Bandung discussed the topic of Hazrat Zahra (SA) from the perspective of Hadith books al-Sihah al-Sitta.
Fatemeh Masoumeh, a researcher and author, delivered a lecture on the perfection of Hazrat Zahra (SA), drawing from the narrative sources of Shia texts, such as Al-Bihar.
Fatemeh Ebrahimi, a faculty member at Iran’s Al-Zahra University, was anther speaker at the webinar.
She said that despite all the hardships, Hazrat Zahra’s (SA) role in being a wife and mother, managing the household, her spiritual and intellectual dimensions, as well as her perseverance and patience before and after marriage, have established her as a model in the learning and teaching of knowledge throughout history.
She stated that one of the most important methods of education and upbringing is the modeling approach, adding that Islam emphasizes this crucial principle for the development and elevation of individuals because the character of a model serves as the foundation for moral and educational guidance, significantly influencing the behavior of those being educated.
Ebrahimi further explained that for this reason, the Holy Quran has established proper models and has encouraged adherence to them.
“The Quran introduces the esteemed Messenger of Islam (PBUH) as the perfect model and a good example for believers. In this modeling approach, there is no distinction between men and women; however, due to the unique traits and responsibilities of women, it is essential for them to have role models from their own gender as well.”
She noted that Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (SA) is a continuation of the path and practices of the Messenger of God (PBUH) in all aspects.
