Palestinian Authority assault on Jenin camp denies about 2,000 children right to education

The ongoing aggression by the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) security forces on the Jenin refugee camp, for the third consecutive week, has disrupted the educational process for hundreds of students in the camp.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The ongoing aggression by the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) security forces on the Jenin refugee camp, for the third consecutive week, has disrupted the educational process for hundreds of students in the camp.

Under the title “Do Not Deprive Us of Our Right to Education,” children from the Jenin camp gathered on Thursday to demand their right to education and to put an end to the attacks the camp has been experiencing for days.

There are four UNRWA schools in the Jenin camp, where about 2,000 students in the primary stage receive their education.

For the third week in a row, the PA security forces continue their assault on the Jenin camp, which has been under siege, aiming to eliminate Palestinian resistance.

The camp is experiencing difficult humanitarian conditions and a water shortage, in addition to residents being shot at by PA security elements who have taken positions on the high buildings surrounding the camp.

Since the beginning of the aggression against the Jenin camp, two citizens have been martyred, including a child, and others have been injured by the PA gunfire.

Since the onset of the genocide in the Gaza Strip and the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, PA officials have considered military confrontation with the occupying state unacceptable, continuing their long-standing approach of fighting resistance and arresting or assassinating resistance fighters.

During these months, clashes have erupted between the PA security forces and resistance groups in Jenin, its refugee camp, Tulkarem, its camps, Tubas, and elsewhere. The PA security forces have killed 13 Palestinian citizens, including individuals wanted by the occupation, and have injured dozens while pursuing and arresting resistance fighters across all West Bank governorates, especially in the north.
