AlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale raid campaign at dawn Thursday on Balata refugee camp east of the West Bank city of Nablus, killing a Palestinian young man in the raid.
Local sources reported that the young man Jihad Abu Salim, 27, was killed in Balata raid.
Shuhada Al-Aqsa Brigades in Balata camp mourned the martyr Jihad Abu Salim, “who was killed while confronting the Zionist enemy forces’ raid into Balata camp.”
According to local sources, the IOF troops stormed Balata camp amid heavy gunfire, which led to the outbreak of armed clashes.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society provided first-aid treatment to two elderly injured Palestinians and rushed them to hospital after being brutally beaten by the Israeli soldiers.
Earlier Wednesday, Israeli soldiers launched a raid on Bazariya village northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, shooting a Palestinian and detaining two others.
Israeli soldiers fired volleys of live ammunition, concussion grenades and teargas canisters towards local youths protesting the raid, injuring one.
The Israeli forces also arrested two citizens during the raid.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society provided first-aid treatment to the injured Palestinian and rushed him to hospital.
