Al-Hakim's movement stated that they are closely monitoring the evolving political and security situation in Syria.
He underscored the necessity for the Syrian people to determine their future through a democratic process that includes the ratification of a new constitution.
The statement highlighted that the constitution must reflect the interests of all segments of society and respect the sanctities of Muslims, particularly Shiite holy sites, while also protecting religious and intellectual minorities from attacks.
