Razavi shrine to host 1st specialized session of 6th Imam Reza Intl. Congress

Imam Reza shrine is set to host the 6th Imam Reza International Congress, organized by the Scientific and Cultural Organization of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR), with a focus on ‘Human Rights and Dignity’.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Imam Reza shrine is set to host the 6th Imam Reza International Congress, organized by the Scientific and Cultural Organization of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR), with a focus on ‘Human Rights and Dignity’.

The first session, titled ‘Resistance for the Revival of Human Rights and Dignity in Imam Reza's Teachings, Tireless Fighter’, will have three parts in Sheikh Tabarsi Hall of AQR’s Islamic Research Foundation.

The opening ceremony on December 4, from 8 to 9 a.m., will feature speeches by Dr. Saeed Reza Ameli and Sheikh Khalid Abdulwahab.

The session on ‘Inherent Dignity of Humans in Imam Reza's Teachings’ will be led by Dr. Zahra Kharazmi and include speakers like Taysir Suleiman, Dr. Dan Kovalik, Sheikh Jafar Ladak, and Dr. Reza Vodadi.

The second session, ‘Violations and Challenges in Human Rights and Solutions in Shia Literature’, chaired by Dr. Setareh Sadeghi, will include Dr. Maya Hamdanieh, Chris Weaver, Massoud Shadjareh, and Robert Van Tiena.

The third session, ‘Human Rights and Dignity as the Axis of Resistance’, will feature Dr. Masoud Raei, Dr. Javad Shaerbaf, Dr. Hossein Farahi, and Sheikh Sadegh Mousavi-Nejad.

The closing ceremony will be from 3 to 4 p.m., with speeches by Dr. Sami Al-Arian, former professor at the University of South Florida, and Dr. Saeed Reza Ameli, Secretary of the Imam Reza International Congress.

These sessions will delve into important discussions around human rights, dignity, and resistance, drawing insights from notable experts and scholars from around the world. They aim to highlight the relevance of Imam Reza's teachings in contemporary times and explore various challenges and solutions in the field of human rights.
