Imam Reza shrine to host ECO foreign ministers

The deputy custodian of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR) announced that the foreign ministers of the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) will be hosted at Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on December 2 and 3.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The deputy custodian of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR) announced that the foreign ministers of the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) will be hosted at Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on December 2 and 3.

According to Mustafa Feizi, during their stay, the ECO guests will visit Imam Reza shrine, the museums of the shrine, and the treasury of AQR's manuscripts.

“The top diplomats will attend a ceremonial hall in the shrine and, after speeches by Ayat. Marvi, AQR’s Custodian, and Mr. Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, they will be guests at the shrine's dinner banquet”, Feizi stated.

Various programs have been arranged, including visits to the shrine projects, the shrine's studios, special interviews with the guests, and getting to know the sub-organizations of the shrine and their programs.

“The entry of foreign delegations from ECO member countries to Mashhad for the 28th meeting of this organization, scheduled for December 2 and 3, is now underway”, Feizi added.

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is an international organization established in 1985 to strengthen economic cooperation and sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region. Its 10 member countries are Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.

The objectives of ECO include strengthening and developing economic and trade cooperation among member countries, creating suitable grounds for cooperation in various fields such as agriculture, energy, transportation, and communications, improving living standards, and reducing poverty in the region.
