Int’l webinar discusses raising children based on Quranic, Islamic teachings

An international online seminar was held in Indonesia to discuss raising children based on the teachings of Islam and the Holy Quran.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): An international online seminar was held in Indonesia to discuss raising children based on the teachings of Islam and the Holy Quran.

The Iranian Cultural Center in Indonesia organized the event in cooperation with the University of Palembang.

Mohammad Reza Ebrahimi, the Iranian Cultural Attaché in the Southeast Asian country, said at the webinar that children are God’s most precious blessings entrusted to parents.

He said parents have a heavy responsibility to raise children according to Islamic criteria and teachings in order to ensure their success and salvation.

Iranian scholar Fatemeh Sadr was another speaker at the webinar. She elaborated on Imam Khomeini’s views about raising children in Islam.

She said Imam Khomeini (RA) believes that educational theories must be compatible with the teachings of the Quran and the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

Islam has proven theories about raising children, she went on to say.

Indonesian scholar Manal al-Layli in her speech underlined the implementation of Quranic teachings in raising children.

The Iranian Cultural Center in Indonesia plans to organize more such programs on subjects related to family and women.
