The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that an Israeli drone attacked a rescue team en route to Ain Baal in the Tyre district on Saturday during their emergency response mission. Subsequently, a second rescue team attempting to aid the initial victims was also targeted by the drone, leading to casualties. Tragically, the incident resulted in two fatalities and four injuries across both rescue teams.
The statement reiterated the call for the international community to take a strong stand against the Israeli army's violations of international laws and its disregard for deterrent measures. Israel has been involved in cross-border conflict with Lebanon, conducting an air campaign in late September targeting alleged Hezbollah sites.
Lebanese health authorities report over 3,600 casualties, with more than 15,300 injured and over 1 million displaced since last October due to Israeli attacks in Lebanon. Tel Aviv escalated the situation by launching a ground offensive into southern Lebanon on October 1st.
