AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli occupation army committed a horrific massacre at dawn Thursday after it bombed a residential block in Beit Lahia, north of Gaza, killing and injuring dozens of civilians, mostly children and women.
According to local sources, Israeli warplanes bombed an entire block near the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, killing at least 66 civilians and injuring over 100 others, many of them in critical condition.
Director of the hospital Hussam Abu Safiya affirmed that doctors and medical staffers from the hospital worked on pulling the victims from the rubble at the site of the massacre using their bare hands due to the absence of civil defense crews.
Deliberate Israeli attacks on ambulance and civil defense workers already deprived northern Gaza of any rescue services.
“There are no specialized surgeons at the hospital, so what we provide is only first aid for most cases,” Abu Safiya said, adding that the Israeli army does not allow medical delegations to reach the hospital.
He warned that the hospital would turn into mass graves if international organizations did not act immediately to provide the hospital with medical supplies.
He also warned that the coming days would see an increase in the number of the martyrs in northern Gaza as a result of the lack of food and proper medical treatment.
He affirmed that the medicines that had reached the hospital during the past days were extremely limited, refuting news reports that talked about the entry of aid and medical supplies into northern Gaza.
