AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli warplanes launched at dawn Thursday three raids on the southern suburb of Beirut, amid fierce battles between Hezbollah and the Israeli army on more than one front in southern Lebanon.
Lebanese sources said Israeli warplanes targeted three buildings in Haret Hreik in the southern suburb of Beirut shortly after being warned.
Israeli warplanes also struck several towns in the Tyre district in southern Lebanon and targeted a gathering of paramedics in the town of Kfar Dounin in Bint Jbeil district in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that “10 people, including three paramedics, were martyred and 68 others were injured in a preliminary toll of Israeli raids on several towns in southern Lebanon.”
The Lebanese Ministry of Health’s Emergency Operations Center reported in a press release that Israeli airstrikes last night killed nine people and injured 65 others in the Tyre district, in an unofficial toll.
In the same context, the Lebanese National News Agency said that violent clashes erupted during an Israeli incursion attempt from the outskirts of the town of Alma al-Shaab towards the towns of Shama and al-Bayada in southern Lebanon.
It added that “the areas of Wadi Hamoul and Labbouneh in Naqoura in the south are being subjected to Israeli raids, in conjunction with artillery shelling using phosphorus bombs.”
The agency indicated that “the sounds of machineguns and rockets are being heard in the areas of Shama, Majdal Zun and al-Bayada in the south.”
The Israeli aggression on Lebanon has resulted in 3,558 martyrs and 15,123 wounded, including a large number of children and women, in addition to about 1,400,000 displaced people, most of them after September 23.
On the other hand, Hezbollah announced shelling for the second time a gathering of Israeli forces south of the city of Khiyam in southern Lebanon.
The battles in the past hours resulted in the killing of four Israeli soldiers, according to Israeli sources. The Israeli army announced the killing of a soldier from the elite unit Maglan and the injury of 10 others.
The Israeli army said it monitored 25 missiles fired from Lebanon towards the northern coastal strip, confirming that a missile fell in Acre.
For its part, Hezbollah said, in a statement, that its fighters attacked with drones “a logistics base of the Israeli army’s 146th Division east of Nahariya city,” confirming that the targets were accurately hit.
The party broadcasted images of the targeting of Tel Haim and Beit Lid bases, while a drone launched from Lebanon fell in an Israeli army camp in the Western Galilee.
In another statement, Hezbollah said it attacked “with a squadron of drones the Shraga base north of Acre and hit its targets”, adding that it targeted the city of Safed with a barrage of rockets.
