In celebration of World Islamic Art Day, a ceremony was held at the Iranian Cultural Counsellor's Gallery, aimed at raising awareness of Islamic art and its significance in Islam. The event was attended by enthusiasts of Iranian-Islamic art.
At the ceremony, speakers examined the vastness and diversity of Islamic art and emphasized the importance of intercultural dialogue through Islamic art.
Alongside the ceremony, a workshop introducing the art of Iranian Ghalamkari (Block-Printing) was held. Participants experienced creating an artwork using this traditional Iranian-Islamic art form.
The designation of World Islamic Art Day was approved at the 40th UNESCO conference in 2019, and November 18th was chosen as World Islamic Art Day.
