AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The director of Astan Quds Razavi’s Center for Women and Family Affairs announced that in a benevolent gesture and in response to the call of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, a charity campaign titled ‘Hebeh’ (gift) has been launched to aid the oppressed people of Lebanon and Gaza, with an unprecedented presence of Iranian women.

Speaking on the sidelines of this event at the Khatun Camp in Mashhad (northeast Iran), Fatemeh Dezhbord, the director of Center for Women and Family Affairs said: “This national campaign is held to gather warm clothes and essential items for the people of Lebanon and Gaza during the cold season. Thanks to the efforts of Iranian women and the cooperation of the women's volunteer centers across the country, over 120,000 pieces of warm clothing and other necessities have been collected”.

“The campaign's message rapidly spread nationwide, and Iranian women responded enthusiastically by gathering clothes, knitting warm garments, and preparing other essentials”, she added.

Some women even visited markets and shops to collect financial donations and purchase direly needed items.

Dezhbord noted that the widespread response exceeded the organizers' expectations, highlighting, “Iranian mothers have always been at the forefront during crises and have wholeheartedly strived to help their fellow humans. This campaign demonstrated that Iranian women are ready to assist those in distress”.

According to the director of the center, women across Iran engaged in various activities as part of the campaign. “These activities included forming workshops for knitting and sewing clothes, widely informing different gatherings about the campaign, etc”.

She concluded her remarks by emphasizing that due to the overwhelming public response and the growing demands of the people in Lebanon and Gaza, women's volunteer centers in Iranian provinces are requesting extension of the campaign until the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (December 22).
