AhlulBayt News Agency: The secretary general of the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Hassan Rasheed al-Obaiji, said that the events of the Fatimi season of Sorrows embody the oppression of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her).
This came in his presence at the events of the Fatimi season of Sorrow, which is held in an area between the Two Holy Shrines, and is organized by the Department of Hussayni Rituals, Processions and Bodies.
The opening events witnessed the presence of the secretary-general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, and the secretary-general of the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Hassan Rasheed al-Obaiji, along with a number of officials of the two holy shrines, Husseini processions, and a large gathering of visitors.
Al-Obaiji said: "the Fatimi season of Sorrows embodies what the Lady of the women of the worlds Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) was subjected to from the oppression in her life, in addition to embodying the patience of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their endurance".
He added that "the martyrdom of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) makes us recall the tragedy of at-Taf and what happened to Imam al-Hussayn and his family (peace be upon them) and his companions, because it is similar to what Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) was subjected to".
