Pakistani Shia Scholar: Allameh Iqbal Lahori changed thoughts of Muslims in subcontinent

Pakistani thinker Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal Lahori changed the thoughts of the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent with his lofty thoughts, revolutionary poems and philosophy.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Pakistani thinker Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal Lahori changed the thoughts of the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent with his lofty thoughts, revolutionary poems and philosophy.

Chairman of Pakistan Muslim Unity Council, Hujjat al-Islam Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, on the occasion of November 9, the 147th anniversary of the birth of Allama Poet Muhammad Iqbal Lahori (RA), in his message while paying tribute to him, said,” Pakistani thinker Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal Lahori changed the thoughts of the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent with his lofty thoughts and revolutionary poems and philosophy.”

This Pakistani senator continued to say that the poet of the East reformed the society with his poems and educated the people intellectually and mentally.

The powerful people of the country have rejected the thoughts and teachings of Dr. Muhammad Iqbal and have put Pakistan on a path where the goal of Pakistan has been lost. Freedom of thought and fundamental rights have disappeared, providing justice for people has become a wish.

Hujjat al-Islam Jafari added,” The demand of the present age is to promote and follow his revolutionary and intellectual poetry.”

The prominent cleric of Pakistan further noted that Allama Muhammad Iqbal wanted to achieve a country where everyone has the right to live freely based on the ideology of Islam. “Standing against tyranny was the lesson of his poems. Compassion and helping the underprivileged was one of the characteristics of his revolutionary poetry.”

The Chairman of the Muslim Unity Council further pointed out the concept of the word "Khodi" by Allama Iqbal and stated: In fact, the philosophy of Khodi, which Allama Iqbal said is a philosophical and eloquent interpretation of God's succession from the perspective of the Holy Qur'an. Iqbal has described death as better than sustenance, which causes deficiency in human growth and perfection.
