AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Lebanese community in South Africa staged a protest rally outside the Israeli embassy in Pretoria as the Zionist regime continues its deadly war on Lebanon.
Lebanese from various backgrounds, Saturday evening, joined the demonstration highlighting that the Zionist aggression on their country has repeatedly taken place for decades.
After Hamas carried out the historic Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on the Israeli regime on October 7, 2023, in response to decades-long occupation of Palestine, the regime launched an all-out war of Gaza and Lebanon which has so far led to the massacre of 46,500 people, most of them women and children.
While recommitting to their resistance against the US-backed Israeli regime, the Lebanese people noted the failure of international bodies and governments around the world to take any steps to pressure Israel to halt the war.
They further echoed calls by South Africans for the country to shut down the Zionist embassy and sever ties with the regime.
South Africa itself has been one of the outspoken critics of Israel’s ongoing onslaught against Palestinians and has led some initiatives to hold Israel accountable in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for its actions in Gaza.
The Israeli regime struck some parts of Iranian soil on October 26, 2024, after it violated the country's territorial sovereignty two times in the current year.
