AhlulBayt News Agency: Responding to a call from the Moroccan Organization for the Support of the Ummah’s Causes (a non-governmental body) and under the slogan “Gaza Will Prevail,” thousands of Moroccans took to the streets in 112 demonstrations across 58 cities on Friday, marking the 57th consecutive “Friday of Rage” since the launch of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation.
The rallies, organized in cities such as Tetouan, Fez, Meknes, Casablanca, and Agadir, are part of the Moroccan people’s steadfast support for Palestine and Lebanon.
Protesters expressed their strong opposition to Israel’s ongoing acts of genocide in Gaza, particularly the systematic starvation in the north, where civilians face relentless pressure to flee their homes. Demonstrators also raised concerns about the brutal aggression against Lebanon, where thousands have been killed, injured, or displaced.
Carrying banners reading “Gaza Will Prevail” and “We Are All Gaza, We Are All Palestine,” participants condemned US and Western support for what they referred to as the “criminal entity.” They called on the Moroccan government to immediately stop its normalization efforts with Israel, whose actions have left tens of thousands of Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them women and children. The ongoing conflict has resulted in over 10,000 missing people and widespread destruction in Gaza, compounded by a devastating famine.
In their chants, demonstrators voiced unwavering support for the Palestinian resistance and solidarity with Lebanon, vowing to continue their protests until the war is stopped and Palestinians are granted their legitimate rights. They also decried Israel’s disregard for international warnings and UN resolutions, as the country continues to expand its attacks and intensify airstrikes across Lebanon.
Despite the catastrophic humanitarian situation, Israel continues to ignore the UN Security Council’s call for an immediate ceasefire and the International Court of Justice’s orders to prevent genocide. Moroccan protesters reaffirmed their commitment to peacefully demonstrating until justice is served for both Palestine and Lebanon.
