Imam Reza shrine’s health facility provides thousands of medical services to non-Iranian pilgrims

The CEO of Imam Reza shrine‘s medical institute has announced that some 107,712 medical services have been provided to non-Iranian pilgrim patients at Imam Reza shrine’s Dar al-Shifa in the first seven months of this year (2024).

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The CEO of Imam Reza shrine‘s medical institute has announced that some 107,712 medical services have been provided to non-Iranian pilgrim patients at Imam Reza shrine’s Dar al-Shifa in the first seven months of this year (2024).

According to Dr. Soltanifar, these medical services were delivered to 62,711 non-Iranian pilgrims from 30 different nationalities in various departments of Dar al-Shifa, located near the shrine of Imam Reza, northeast Iran.

He emphasized that the diagnostic and therapeutic services at the health facility are available to all visitors.

“The majority of medical services provided to non-Iranian pilgrims included clinical consultations, laboratory tests, injections, and emergency care”, Dr. Soltanifar added.

The CEO noted that pilgrims from Iraq, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan were the most frequent visitors to this round-the-clock medical center, with Iraqi patients constituting 71% of the non-Iranian patients treated.

He also highlighted some of the facilities provided by the shrine for hosting non-Iranian pilgrims at this health center such as translation services.

Non-Iranian pilgrims may access all services at this medical center according to the approved tariffs of the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education of Iran.

Additionally, the emergency medical stations at Imam Reza shrine offer free services to all visitors and residents, including non-Iranian pilgrims.
