Al-Abbas Shrine announces arrival of fifth relief aid convoy for Lebanese displaced to Syria

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced the arrival of the fifth convoy of aid to Syria, in coordination with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, as part of its campaign to support and relief the Lebanese people, after the recent Zionist attacks.

A member of the delegation of the holy shrine to Syria; Sayed Hashem al-Shami, said that "the committee received the fifth batch of humanitarian assistance to the Lebanese people, which comes in response to the call of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, and the directives of the Senior Official; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, to do what contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Lebanese people and securing their humanitarian needs."

"The convoy includes large quantities of food and necessary supplies needed by the displaced Lebanese families, and will be distributed to the displaced shelter centers to deliver them to those in need in various Syrian regions,"he added.

The fifth convoy includes 19 trucks containing approximately 8,000 food baskets and 16 thousand blankets in conjunction with low temperatures, in addition to meat and various foodstuffs.
The Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine has launched an expanded campaign to provide assistance to the Lebanese people, in light of the Zionist aggression that violates human rights and international norms, including sending humanitarian aid to those affected by them, and providing accommodation to accommodate the arrivals of (Iraqi guests)".

In recent days, the holy shrine has sent four convoys carrying thousands of tons of aid as part of its relief campaign, equipping a field hospital and another Mobile One, A team of specialized doctors, and cars loaded with medicines and foodstuffs to distribute to Lebanese families, in addition to a central kitchen to prepare food for displaced families in shelter centers.
