AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Thursday that Muslims can create a great power in West Asia if they become united in different fields.
Pezeshkian made the comment in Iran’s holy city of Qom. During his daylong visit to the city, the president held talks with Ayatollah Mousa Shubairi Zanjani as part of a series of meetings with senior clerics there.
President Pezeshkian explained that he had discussed with regional leaders the reasons behind differences among Muslims.
He said if Muslims were united and put aside their differences, the Zionist regime would not commit crimes against the people of Gaza and Lebanon.
If Muslims become united in economic, political and social fields, they can create a power in the region and the US will no longer be able to sanction them, Pezeshkian said.
He also referred to the existing problems in Iran, saying that the root cause of the problems is the failure to practically act upon teachings by Shia imams. That’s why there is public discontent, and efforts should be made to attract people’s satisfaction, Pezeshkian stressed.
Ayatollah Shubairi Zanjani wished the president and his government success in their job.
