AhlulBayt News Agency: 3,398 Palestinian administrative detainees are currently held in Israeli prisons, including 90 children and 30 women, a joint statement by the Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society revealed on Wednesday.
Since administrative detainees in Israeli prisons make up 33% of all prisoners, the joint statement pointed out that the crime of administrative detention has increased in a way never seen before.
Since the start of the genocide war on October 7 last year, the Israeli authorities have issued over 9,500 administrative detention orders.
There are 90 children held in administrative detention, including a 14-year-old child, Ammar Abdul Karim.
The statement pointed out that more than 11,500 arrests were carried out in the West Bank during the same reported period.
10,100 Palestinian prisoners are currently held in Israeli jails amid very difficult detention conditions.
