AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Zionist media outlet, Calcalist, reported that security instability and the suspension of flights to the occupied territories have significantly affected Israel's high-tech firms.
Calcalist highlighted the challenges faced by these companies due to the suspension of air travel, which has intensified amid rising tensions with Iran. These firms are struggling to meet investors' needs in a timely manner, especially since the only operational airline, El Al, has exorbitant ticket prices.
The media outlet reported widespread concerns about Israel's high-tech sector due to the consequences of air blockades resulting from halted airline operations. Recently, two senior officials in Israel's investment sector spoke about the difficulties in the high-tech field.
The report noted that Israel's high-tech industries rely heavily on foreign sales, particularly to the U.S., and that El Al is the only operational airline, with its ticket availability filled and prices reaching thousands of dollars.
Calcalist acknowledged that if flights do not resume, Israel's high-tech companies will struggle to operate. These companies require air travel for global consultations and must have flights available.
The source continued that these companies need extensive travel to meet with investors, particularly since investors rarely come to the occupied territories due to a lack of flights and security concerns. Additionally, sales representatives are limited to phone calls when they need face-to-face meetings, which sometimes require immediate flights.
Calcalist reported that many high-tech companies are drawing from experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was a global crisis that has now turned into an individual crisis for Israel, resulting in investors not coming to Israel.
A senior official in Israel's high-tech sector told Calcalist: 'We have a significant challenge. We used to travel constantly, but now the situation has changed, and not only do we have to spend thousands of dollars, but most of our time is consumed by securing flights.'
He added that traders cannot operate effectively in the occupied territories in this manner and must maintain contact with clients.
This official further stated: 'If we do not find a solution, Israel will become a prison for high-tech workers. Staying here is difficult for us. Many will go to America, and Israel will be emptied.'
According to IRNA, Channel 12 of the Israeli regime previously reported that airlines had canceled their flights to the occupied territories until November 30 due to the ongoing war and escalating tensions.
Lufthansa Airlines also announced on Monday that it would extend its suspension of flights to the occupied territories until November 25, considering the regional situation."
