Karachi hosts Quran competition in memory of resistance martyrs

A Quran competition was held in Karachi, Pakistan, in commemoration of the martyrs of the resistance front.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A Quran competition was held in Karachi, Pakistan, in commemoration of the martyrs of the resistance front.

The Iranian Culture House in the city organized the Quranic event in cooperation with the Iranian Culture Center in Islamabad, Al-Mustafa International University and 12 Quranic centers of Karachi.

A number of the city’s Quran experts served in the panel of arbiters.

The contest was attended by 137 male and female contenders in different age groups.

They competed in the categories of Quran recitation, memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of the 30th Juz (part) of the Holy Book.

They paid tribute to those martyred on the path of liberation of al-Quds, especially former Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah official Sayed Hashem Safieddine.

Saeed Talebinia, head of the Iranian Culture House, lauded the contestants’ efforts to learn the Quran and enhance their Quranic skills.

He noted that all contestants will be awarded cash prizes, certificates of honor and certificates of appreciation.
