AhlulBayt News Agency: The Yemeni Armed Forces have launched a drone attack against a vital target in the city of Ashkelon in the Israeli-occupied territorials, in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese nation enduring relentless Israeli aggression.
The Yemeni forces in a statement on Tuesday said that they struck an industrial zone in Ashkelon, located 50 kilometers south of Tel Aviv in southern occupied Palestine, using a number of drones.
The statement added that the operation was part of the fifth phase of the battle against the Israeli enemy, and successfully achieved its desired objectives.
“In response to the Zionist enemy’s crimes in Gaza and Lebanon, the Yemeni Armed Forces will continue their military operations, which will not cease until the aggression stops, the siege on Gaza is lifted, and the aggression against Lebanon ends,” the statement further read.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military on Tuesday morning said that sirens sounded in Ashkelon after a drone crossed into the Israeli-occupied territories.
This strike comes after Yemen's Armed Forces announced a day earlier that they had conducted strikes on three ships found to be violating the nation's ban on sailing to the ports of the Israeli-occupied territories.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the forces’ spokesman, announced that the ship "SC Montreal' in the southern Arabian Sea was targeted with two drones, another vessel identified as ”Maersk Kowloon” was targeted in the Arabian Sea with a cruise missile and the ship "Motaro" was targeted in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb with several ballistic missiles.
On Sunday, the Yemeni Military Media released a 20-minute video documenting a series of tactical exercises dubbed "To Make Your Faces Disgraced " (Quranic verse) carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The exercises illustrated a comprehensive simulation designed to counter large-scale ground, air, and naval assaults along Yemen's western coast.
Yemenis have been carrying out numerous strikes against the occupied Palestinian territories since October 7 last year, when the Israeli regime began the war on Gaza, killing more than 43,000 Palestinians to date.
The forces have also been targeting Israeli ships and vessels heading towards or away from the ports of the occupied territories as means of trying to force the regime into stopping the war and a siege that it has been simultaneously imposing on Gaza.
The US, on the other hand, has been staging attacks against Yemen as means of trying to stop these operations.
