Grid Manufacturing Department shows details of two grids of basement of imams al-Hussayn and Al-Jawad (Photos)

The Department of Manufacturing the grids of the holy shrines in the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine, highlighted the details of manufacturing the grids of the basement of Imam al-Hussayn and Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon them).

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Department of Manufacturing the grids of the holy shrines in the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine, highlighted the details of manufacturing the grids of the basement of Imam al-Hussayn and Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon them).

The head of the Department, Mr. Nadhem Al-Gharabi, said that the grids of the basement of Imam al-Hussayn and Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon them), are made of a variety of metals including silver, gold, copper and(Stainless steel), in addition to the wooden structure made of teak wood distinguished by its high durability, stressing that there is a great similarity in the external and internal design of the two grids."

He added that " the lower bridges of the two grids are made of a Stainless steel with a thickness of 5 mm, a material that helps protect the structure from the impact of moisture and accumulated water, which increases the service life of the two grids."

The head of the department stated that the two grids are decorated with 100% completed Quranic and poetic lines, and each grid contains 9 windows, including the door window.

He explained that the side columns of the two grids and the crown made of silver with a thickness of 6 mm, were fully completed, with great attention to the design of the interior of the grids, which includes accurate inscriptions and decorations that suit the sanctity of the place.

Al-Gharabi added that the height of the grid reached 2.80 meters from the floor to the highest point and the length of its perimeter is 11 meters, and the work is carried out with great care and precision to ensure the highest quality standards, in line with the importance of the holy shrines and their ancient heritage.

Al-Gharabi confirmed that the completion rate of the work exceeded 95%, pointing out that there are only the stages of gold plating and other finishing and final works left.
