AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says granting a German passport to an individual does not provide impunity, not least to a “terrorist.”
The top Iranian diplomat made the remarks in defense of the Iranian Judiciary’s execution of Iranian-German convict Jamshid Sharmahd.
Sharmahd, the ringleader of a US-based terror group behind a series of deadly attacks against the Iranian nation, was executed in Tehran on Monday.
Following his execution, Germany’s foreign ministry protested to Iran by recalling its ambassador to Tehran and summoning the Iranian charge d’affaires in Berlin.
Addressing his German counterpart in an X post on Tuesday, Araghchi censured arrogant claims of human rights by German officials, saying even the German people made fun of them for their hypocrisy.
No terrorist enjoys impunity in Iran. Even if supported by Germany.
Iranian national Jamshid Sharmahd openly and unashamedly led a terrorist attack on a MOSQUE that killed 14 innocent people—including women and children. More than 200 were injured. The evidence is public and…

In Iran, no terrorist is entitled to immunity even if that terrorist is backed by Germany, the Iranian minister stated.
Araghchi said the Iranian nation still remembers how Germany backed the regime of Iraq’s former dictator Saddam Hussein in the past, providing him with chemical weapons which killed thousands of Iranians during the imposed war on Iran.
"Stop supporting child killers and terrorists and do not hide yourself behind hypocritical human rights slogans. We have not forgotten about the chemical weapons provided to Saddam's regime by German nationals," he said.
In the present, the top Iranian diplomat said, Germany is complicit in the Israeli regime's atrocities in West Asia, providing weapons and ammunition to the Israeli forces to keep up the barbarism in the besieged Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
According to the Iranian Judiciary's Mizan news agency citing Judiciary officials, Sharmahd was responsible for the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of innocent Iranians, including women and children, and was sentenced to death in 2023 for committing "corruption on earth” by planning and orchestrating the terrorist acts.
Sharmahd had for years, at the behest of his masters in Western intelligence agencies, designed and carried out a series of terrorist attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran, said a statement by the Tehran Prosecutor-General's Office on Monday.
