AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A national seminar in Islamabad on Monday condemned ongoing Israeli aggression in Palestine and Lebanon, and honoured journalists who lost their lives during the conflict.

Anchors and reporters from the twin cities attended a national seminar in Islamabad, where organizers condemned the killing of journalists by Israeli forces in Palestine and Lebanon.

Speaking to journalists, renowned anchor Dr. Syed Sajjad Bukhari stated that more journalists have fallen victim to Israeli terrorism in Palestine and Lebanon than in any other conflict. He emphasized that while journalist safety is typically ensured during wars, the Israeli regime has targeted not only journalists but also doctors, nurses, volunteers, and innocent children.

Former National Press Club president Shakeel Qarar, along with Hamid Mir and others, paid tribute to journalists who were martyred while fulfilling their duties in war zones.

Sabir Abu Maryam, Secretary-General of Palestine Foundation, spoke to Iran Press, condemning the situation in Gaza and Lebanon. He described the events as aggression, a conspiracy against humanity, brutality, and genocide. Maryam stressed the hundreds of journalists who have been martyred while doing their duty, revealing the harsh realities of American and Israeli actions. He noted that the US government is a significant player in this conflict, providing financial and military support to Israel.

In honoring the journalists martyred in the line of duty, we stand in solidarity with their families, assuring them that their sacrifices will not be forgotten. We call for an immediate end to the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon. We urge the global community and governments to step forward, contribute, and support the reconstruction of Gaza.

At the close of the conference, attendees offered prayers for the journalists and innocent civilians who were martyred in Palestine and Lebanon.
