AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Saturday, October 19, 2024, the new educational complex of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, titled “Islamic Studies Faculty”, was opened in Qom with the presence of Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and a group of professors and students of this international university.
In this opening ceremony, while pointing out the need to appreciate the efforts of the Resistance Front commanders, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “The current security in the country is due to the efforts of martyrs such as Haj Qassem Soleimani, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, and other martyrs of the Resistance Front, who brought a great honor for this front.”
“The late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) taught us to follow this path, and now, the Islamic world enjoys intellectual and discourse greatness in human society,” continued the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“Increase your knowledge and never think of finishing the lessons at any cost,” addressing the students, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “You need to take full advantage of your professors.”
“One of the characteristics of a civilization-building university is preferring knowledge over degree. A university needs to be productive to excel, and it will never grow by just teaching others’ sciences,” he continued.
“Some fields of studies in universities are only for employment. But by considering the authentic meaning of science, more jobs can be created and expand the intellectual system based on wisdom in society,” expressed the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“Humanities departments of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University have been established in Qom. We emphasize that you should avoid studying just to get a degree, rather, thinking must be established in society,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.
At the end of his speech, the member of the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “The strategic document of the transformation of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University should be submitted to its board of trustees. The existence of scientific research and promotional journals, and the attracting students to submit their articles to the university faculties, is commendable.”
