Issue of Palestine now a central concern for entire world: Iran’s Parliament Speaker

The Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament), Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has asserted that the issue of Palestine is not only a central concern for Muslims but for the entire world, and has been a focal point of Imam Khomeini's doctrine from the very beginning.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament), Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has asserted that the issue of Palestine is not only a central concern for Muslims but for the entire world, and has been a focal point of Imam Khomeini's doctrine from the very beginning.

Speaking at the 9th International Conference on "Freedom Fighters in Exile", which was held at Quds Hall of Imam Reza shrine (northeast Iran) on October 17, Ghalibaf emphasized, “The struggle against Israel has transcended Iran's borders and become a global issue, with students in the US, Australia, Germany, France, and the UK all standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people, a movement inspired by Imam Khomeini's teachings”.

Ghalibaf explained that Imam Khomeini’s approach to fighting Israel is grounded in rationality, justice, and spirituality, aimed at achieving justice with a spiritual perspective.

“The Leader of the Islamic Revolution continues this legacy, emphasizing the balance of these three principles”, added the Parliament speaker.

Ghalibaf highlighted that the essence of the struggle against Israel and oppression has always been fundamental to Imam Khomeini’s doctrine, stating, “Opposing the Pahlavi regime was due to its ties with the Israeli regime”.

He reiterated that the Islamic Republic does not recognize the regime in Tel Aviv, not just politically but fundamentally, as a matter of principle.

Iranian top MP recounted a high-ranking American official’s comment, saying, “If Israel didn’t exist today, the US would create it”, which reveals the depth of their alliance.

He stressed that the unmasked face of global hegemony is represented by the Zionist regime and the US, whose atrocities surpass even those of the animal kingdom.

Reflecting on his recent visit to Lebanon, Ghalibaf noted, “Despite the martyrdom of leaders like Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the struggle continues unabated”.

He asserted that Hezbollah's structure and resistance have only grown stronger, with Haifa and Tel Aviv increasingly feeling the impact of their operations.

Elsewhere in the event, the provisional Friday Prayer imam of Tehran, Ayat. Ahmad Khatami emphasized the significance of the culture of resistance, referring to it as "We Can" as a culture that must be preserved.

He described the current level of resistance as unparalleled, underscoring its role in shaping a Middle East centered on resistance, countering US and Israeli plans for dominance.

“Despite the martyrdom of leaders like Ismail Haniyeh, resistance organizations like Hamas remain steadfast”, Ayat. Khatami noted.

According to him, the Al-Aqsa Flood operation demonstrated the resilience and sacred mission of the resistance, splitting the world into “axes of good and evil”.

Sheikh Khazali, a prominent figure in Iraq's Parliament attending the conference, stressed that the axis of resistance, led by Iran's Leader, has instilled a sense of dignity and perseverance in the region.

“The Israeli regime’s inability to achieve any decisive victories, despite ongoing conflict, underscores the strength of the resistance”, stated the Iraqi politician.

He also pointed out the substantial military and social impacts on the Israeli regime, with thousands fleeing the occupied territories and its economy faltering. “The resistance is unwavering, drawing strength from its sacrifices and unity against tyranny”.

The conference underscored the continuing and intensifying struggle against the Israeli regime, supported by a unified front of resistance across the Middle East, inspired by the teachings of Imam Khomeini and the leadership of Iran.
