ICRO lauds Sinwar’s steadfastness in defending Palestinian cause

The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) commended Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was martyred in an Israeli attack, for his steadfastness in defending the cause of Palestine.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) commended Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was martyred in an Israeli attack, for his steadfastness in defending the cause of Palestine.

In a statement released on Saturday, ICRO offered condolences on the martyrdom of the committed commander and fighter.

It described Sinwar as a courageous leader of the Palestinian resistance front who was martyred after a lifetime of struggle against the Israeli regime and on the holy path of fighting for the liberation of Muslims’ first Qibla (holy city of al-Quds).

“Martyr Yahya Sinwar dedicated his blessed and fruitful life to the cause of Palestine and remained steadfast and unwavering on this path until the last moment,” it said.

The statement added that Sinwar will be referred to in the history of Palestine and the region as an example of a combatant and resistance Muslim.

The shedding of his blood will lead to the liberation of Palestine from the clutches of the Zionist and American demons, it added.

Based on divine promises, the likes of Sinwar will soon take up the flag of resistance, the statement went on to say.

Sinwar was found dead in southern Gaza’s Rafah city on Thursday, wearing a combat vest with an AK-47 rifle by his side.

The charismatic leader of the Palestinian resistance movement escaped many assassination attempts before and after the events of October 7.

In the past year, Sinwar, 62, played an instrumental role in coordinating and supervising the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation in the Gaza Strip.

Before becoming Hamas’s leader in Gaza in 2017, Sinwar spent 22 years in an Israeli prison. He was released as part of a prisoner swap in 2011.
