Israeli daily analyzes failure of "General's Plan" in Gaza

The Zionist newspaper, Yediot Aharonot, has reviewed the reasons for failure of the "Generals' Plan" in Gaza.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Zionist newspaper, Yediot Aharonot, has reviewed the reasons for failure of the "Generals' Plan" in Gaza.

The so-called "General's Plan" was put forward in the beginning of the Gaza war by former head of the Israeli Internal Security Council, Giora Eiland. According to the plan, the regions in the north of Gaza, including the north of the city and Netsarim Corridor, were to turn into a closed military zone.

Yediot Aharonot wrote in a report: "The Israeli army is facing a big problem to force the inhabitants of northern Gaza to migrate." Most of the inhabitants of the region resist against forced migration.

According to this plan, nearly 600 thousand Palestinians are forced to leave northern regions via the corridors determined by the Zionist regime army towards the south of Gaza. Thus, a thorough siege will be imposed on the region to impede any assistance to be sent to the northern residents.

Meanwhile, Wasif Ariqat, expert of military and strategic issues, said, "The new Israeli plan in the north of Gaza called, "Generals' Plan" reveals the climax of the occupiers' perplexity and their real objectives. They are unable to put the plan into practice, particularly that they had already been unsuccessful in this regard and Palestinians will not leave their homes."

Ariqat called the aim of the Zionist regime's plan to separate Palestinians from each other and added, "Palestinians who have tolerated all kinds of calamities for more than 373 days, will not be captivated with the psychological war, propaganda, war of rumors and hysteric bombing by the Zionist regime."

The Zionist regime is trying to execute the so-called "Generals' Plan" in the north of Gaza while the mastermind of the plan, Giora Eiland, has himself admitted the failure of the plan.
