Venezuelan president describes Netanyahu as ‘monster’ created by EU, US

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has labeled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "a monster” created by the EU and the US, condemning Israel’s brutal aggression against Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has labeled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "a monster” created by the EU and the US, condemning Israel’s brutal aggression against Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

Natanyahu is "waging genocide” against the Palestinian and Lebanese people, Maduro said in a statement.

He said what is happening in West Asia “is not a conflict, but a colonial project by the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe aimed at controlling the region.”

“Netanyahu bombed hospitals, schools, mosques, and refugee camps in Gaza. Is this a war? This is genocide,” the Venezuelan president added.

He further compared Netanyahu to Hitler, saying even the Nazi dictator did not dare do what the Israeli prime minister is currently doing in the region.

Commenting on Israel’s targeting of the UN Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL), Maduro also noted that Netanyahu “still has the audacity” to give orders to the United Nations to withdraw peacekeeping forces from southern Lebanon.

Cuban president leads pro-Palestinian march

Thousands of Cubans, led by President Miguel Diaz-Canel, took to the streets of Havana on Monday to express solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

The protesters condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks against Gaza as well as Lebanon, as they carried a large banner that read “Long live free Palestine”.

Diaz-Canel and other leaders of the Caribbean island were wearing the black-and-white keffiyeh scarves, which indicate solidarity with Palestine.

“For the more than 16,000 children killed in Gaza, for the more than 11,000 women killed; also for the Lebanese people who have resisted in support of their neighbor and are today under Zionist missiles… Cuba is organizing its march today,” the Cuban presidency wrote in a post on its X account.

“In front of the Embassy of the United States, the country that supplies Israel with weapons to kill innocent people, Cubans demand an immediate end to the war,” it added.

The event, originally scheduled for October 7 to mark the first anniversary of Israel's war on Gaza, was postponed due to Hurricane Milton, which caused flooding in the Cuban capital, Havana.
