Iranian official: Failure to punish Israel led to attack on Lebanon

Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Legal and International Affairs said that due to the failure to punish the Israeli regime for committing its crimes in Gaza, now the crimes of this regime have spread to Lebanon.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Legal and International Affairs said that due to the failure to punish the Israeli regime for committing its crimes in Gaza, now the crimes of this regime have spread to Lebanon.

Kazem Gharibabadi, who is in Geneva to participate in the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, in a meeting with Ms. Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), also condoled the loss of some of the forces of this committee due to the attacks of the Israeli regime.

Gharibabadi added: "More than one million and three hundred thousand civilians have been internally displaced or have become refugees in Syria and other countries, and at the same time, the Israeli regime has warned the Lebanese authorities that it will attack the relief equipment and rescuers who intend to help the victims of the attacks who are under the rubble, and has targeted many rescuers.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Legal and International Affairs stated: "The conditions of innocent people are very deplorable and now we should all work to establish an immediate ceasefire and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid."

Since the Israeli regime launched an all-out war on Gazan and then Lebanon on October 7, 2023, more than 42,000 people have been killed and nearly 100,000 others injured; more than 10,000 have disappeared and the rest are coping with famine and constant Israeli air raids.

Israel has also carried out many deadly attacks on Lebanon and Syria, in which many innocent civilians have been killed and injured.
