AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A Yemeni researcher and author described the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation carried out by Palestinian resistance fighters last year as a gateway to liberation of al-Quds.
Susan Hassan Abdullah al-Fazli, who is the director of the Nur al-Quran Institute in Sana’a, spoke to IQNA on the first anniversary of the Palestinian operation.
She said the operation, which has continued since October last year, is undoubtedly a gateway for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque from Zionist oppression and injustice.
She stressed that it has had strategic and historic outcomes in the region, adding that the policy adopted by the axis of resistance since October 7 last year is one of building the future of the region and the world with the elimination of the cancerous tumor, namely the Zionist regime.
Al-Fazli said the first strategy adopted by the resistance in the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation was reviving the cause of Palestine at a time it was getting sidelined.
It brought the cause of Palestine back to the world’s attention and that is why there are demonstrations held in different parts of the world in solidarity with the Palestinian nation, she stated.
She added that despite the brutality of the Zionist regime that has led to the martyrdom of thousands of Palestinians and destruction of the Gaza Strip, the spirit of resistance remains strong in the resistance forces as they have faith in the fact that victory is with those who are with the truth and remain steadfast on the path of defending the truth.
The Yemeni figure further said that the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation has dealt severe blows to the foundations of the Zionist regime and undermined its stability.
The resistance fighters of Palestine shattered the image of invincibility of the Zionist regime that the media of the West had presented to the world, she stated.
Al-Fazli also referred to the Yemeni nation’s support for the Palestinians and described it as unique among Muslim and Arab nations.
The people of Yemen have shown their support for Palestine not only by holding million-strong demonstrations but also by targeting Israeli targets in occupied territories and attacking Israeli-owned and Israeli-bound ships in the Red Sea, she went on to say.
The Al-Aqsa Flood Operation was a surprise operation that saw Hamas and its fellow Gaza Strip-based Palestinian resistance movement of the Islamic Jihad storming the occupied Palestinian territories and taking more than 240 Israelis captive on October 7, 2023.
The Israeli regime brought Gaza under a genocidal war in response. The war has so far claimed the lives of nearly 42,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children. However, the regime has not been able to realize its objectives through force.
