Israel renews airstrikes on Lebanon, Hezbollah rockets target Tel Aviv

In an escalation of its ongoing bloody war on Lebanon for the 16th day, the Israeli army renewed its bombing of the southern suburb of Beirut and continued its attempts of ground incursion into southern Lebanon, amid heavy shelling and fierce clashes with Hezbollah.

Al-Manar TV correspondent reported that the Israeli warplanes launched on Tuesday and overnight a number of raids targeting the town of Blida, in conjunction with violent artillery shelling targeting the town’s neighborhoods.

The number of casualties in Lebanon due to the Israeli aggression has increased since October 8, 2023, to 2,036 martyrs and 9,653 wounded, according to the Disaster Risk Management Unit.

Israeli raids on Monday evening targeted the heights of Hermel in the Bekaa, in eastern Lebanon, the towns of Balat, Al-Khiam, Ayta Ash-Shaab, Yater, and Majdal Selm, in southern Lebanon.

Lebanese media reported that an Israeli raid targeted the upper floors of a residential tower in the city of Tyre.

Meanwhile, the Israeli aircraft bombed the southern suburb of Beirut and the vicinity of Beirut International Airport.

On the other hand, Hezbollah announced that the Islamic resistance fired a missile at the Galilot base of the Israeli Military Intelligence Unit (8200) on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.

Hezbollah bombed gatherings of the Israeli army forces in the settlements of Shlomi, Hanita and the vicinity of the Al-Marj site at dawn Tuesday.

Hezbollah also announced it launched 13 bombings of Israeli military bases, settlements and vehicles in northern 1948 occupied Palestine during the past 24 hours.
