AbhlulBayt News Agency: The people of Iran may rest assured that the military forces will neither hesitate nor rush to respond to hostilities, the IRGC commander said, vowing that the IRGC will vigorously foil the Zionist regime’s plots.
In a message on Monday, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami congratulated IRGC Aerospace Force Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh on being awarded the 'Medal of Fath (Conquest)' by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei following the recent successful True Promise II operation against the Israeli military targets in the occupied territories.
In his message, the IRGC chief assured the Iranian people that the military forces will abide by the guidelines set by Ayatollah Khamenei on avoidance of haste or procrastination in responding to the enemies’ wickedness and exercise rationality in defending the Islamic Republic of Iran’s territorial integrity.
He stated that the IRGC has reached the pinnacle of preparedness, reaffirmed Iran’s support for the Islamic resistance front in Palestine and Syria, and emphasized that the IRGC will powerfully, mightily and decisively overwhelm the enemy and frustrate its plots, particularly the evil acts of the “wolfish” Zionist regime, which he likened to the rabid dog of the US in the region.
On October 1, Iran responded to the Israeli assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC general Abbas Nilforoushan by launching as many as 200 ballistic missiles toward the Zionist regime’s military and intelligence bases all over the occupied Palestinian territories.
While the Zionist regime has threatened to retaliate, Iranian officials have warned that Tehran’s reciprocal response to any Israeli action will be harsh, proportional and well-calculated.
