AhlulBayt News Agency: An American analyst has written on the debacle of the Israeli defense system against Iranian missiles despite what used to be propagated on the so-called "Iron Dome".
Decker Eveleth, associate research analyst at CNA (a nonprofit research and analysis organization based in Washington) wrote on Guardian that the satellite images and social media pictures show that the Iranian missiles have hit one after the other Nevatim airbase in Negev desert and have caused at least several secondary blasts.
This American analyst believes that in spite of the fact that "Iron Dome" air defense, and the previously propagated air defense system of "Arrow" were active, Iran's operation has been more effective with a better performance. Based on the published analyses, the reasons for this success were the technical features and high speed of the missiles, smart strategy of the Iranian commanders and detection of the Israeli defense system weakness before the attack.
Eveleth also refers to the big number of Iranian missiles launched towards the Occupied Territories which jammed the Israeli defense system and adds, "The reserves of the Israeli air defense are both expensive and limited. This means that continuation of clash will make Israel more vulnerable against Iran."
This analyst stresses, "Regarding that Israel pretends to attack, this is not the last time to see exchange of missiles between Tehran and Tel Aviv. But, I am worried that if the clash is prolonged, Israel will not be able to continue."
He states that if the Iranian missiles are launched with the same speed towards a city like Tel Aviv or more valuable targets like oil refineries near Haifa, they will have more lethal effects and will cause an environmental catastrophe."
