Ahlulbayt News Agency: The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has highlighted the readiness of the Iranian Armed Forces to counter enemies, including Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying they have plans in place for all fighting scenarios.
Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri made the remarks on Saturday during an interview with Iran’s Al-Alam Arabic-language television news network, as the criminal regime, led by Netanyahu, has inflamed the region by carrying out acts of terror and aggression in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
Tangsiri emphasized that the Iranian Armed Forces measure all the scenarios that the enemy may enact in the region or beyond and accordingly devise different training and plans to deal with the threats.
“We prepare ourselves for any situation,” he said. “Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei] has always stressed the need for full readiness and vigilance in normal or emergency conditions in the region, among them Netanyahu’s play with fire.”
The IRGC commander also referred to the large-scale military parade that took place in Iran last month at the start of its Sacred Defense Week.
He said the parade conveyed a message to the enemies that if they opt to play with fire in West Asia, Iran will stand firmly against them.
“Islam does not allow us to attack any country unless they invade us. However, the enemies, who want to sell their weapons in the market and prolong their illegal presence in the region,” try to portray Iran as a threat, he noted.
“Therefore, if our national and Islamic interests are not affected, we will not show any reaction, but in any case, we will defend the oppressed.”
On Tuesday evening, Iran launched high-speed missile barrages at Israeli military and intelligence and spying bases, sending almost 10 million settlers into bomb shelters.
Iran’s attack, dubbed Operation True Promise 2, was carried out in response to the Zionist regime’s barbaric acts of assassination against the resistance front’s top leaders.
Iranian military experts and engineers have in recent years made remarkable breakthroughs in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient.
Iranian officials have made clear that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never open for negotiations.
