AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A group of Russian thinker and religious personalities from different faiths denounced the Israeli crimes against the people of Gaza and Lebanon.
In a gathering at the Islamic University of Moscow, they described the Israeli regime’s assassination of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah and a number of commanders of the axis of resistance as a brazen crime.
They also censured the silence of international bodies and the all-out support of the United States for the Zionist regime’s atrocities, according to the public relations office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
Louisa Liavana, an official with cultural experts council of the Youth Parliament, affiliated to Russia’s Duma, said at the gathering that the stances of the Russian president and other officials on the anti-human actions of Israel in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip are quite clear.
She said Russia has always condemned the genocide in Palestine and Lebanon and the recent events that led to the assassination of the Hezbollah leader.
“We believe that terrorism and genocide cannot get Tel Aviv to its goals,” she stated.
Sergey Baburin, a former deputy speaker of Duma, also addressed the event, condemning Israel’s recent crime.
He said Nasrallah spent all his life in struggle for liberation of Palestine and did not allow the plan to Judaize al-Quds to reach its goal.
Baburin offered condolences on the martyrdom of Nasrallah and expressed confidence that has blood will be a basis for a resistance that will lead to the victory of the cause of Palestine.
Dimitri Taranov, an Russian Christian figure, meanwhile, said the country’s Christians and Muslims are grieving the death of innocent people in Gaza and Lebanon.
Saying that the brutal crimes being committed by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon are unheard of in the history of humanity, he denounced the silence of international bodies and countries claiming to advocate human rights.
Kamil Yalsef, an official of the Islamic University of Moscow, in his speech said no matter what your faith, your heart hurts when you see the massacre of oppressed people whose crime is defending their land against occupation.
