AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran’s elite military force the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has been developing a secret technology to intensify the impact of its missile attacks against the Israeli regime, a report shows, a day after the force fired a barrage of ballistic missiles at targets in the Israeli-occupied Palestine.
The Wednesday report by the Tasnim news agency said that the IRGC had delayed its much-anticipated response to Israel’s criminal activities in the region for several weeks in order to finish works on new technologies and equipment needed to intensify attacks on the regime.
Tasnim quoted informed sources as saying that the new technologies and equipment would give the IRGC the upper hand in any confrontation with Israel.
It said the force had partially used the technologies in a missile attack operation late on Tuesday against targets in the Israeli capital of Tel Aviv and other areas in the occupied Palestine.
The report said that the new technologies were the main reason behind the success of the IRGC operation in which more than 90% of the missiles hit their targets.
The sources said, however, that the IRGC has yet to use the technologies on a large scale, adding that such a scenario would catch the Israeli enemy off guard.
They said that the IRGC had collected sensitive intelligence in the past few weeks and had updated its missile systems and other equipment in a way to be able to be more effective in any attack against Israel.
Iranian authorities have dismissed media reports and statements issued by Israel suggesting that the regime's air defenses had intercepted a bulk of the missiles fired by the IRGC.
IRGC’s operation came in response to Israel’s sabotage activities in Iran and its brutal attacks on Palestine and Lebanon in recent months.
