Amnesty International calls for preventing ammunition from reaching Israel

Amnesty International asked European countries such as Slovenia and Montenegro to block the passage of a Portuguese ship carrying weapons to be sent to occupied Palestine.

AhlulBayt News Agency:  Amnesty International asked European countries such as Slovenia and Montenegro to block the passage of a Portuguese ship carrying weapons to be sent to occupied Palestine.

According to the announcement of the government of Namibia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, a ship carrying eight containers of weapons is on its way to the occupied territories.

In August, the Namibian authorities prevented the ship from entering the country's port due to security concerns and the nature of the cargo.

The vessel is now on the way to the coast of Montenegro and the port of Caper, Slovenia; Where weapons are expected to be unloaded.

It is not yet clear how this shipment will be transferred from there to the occupied territories, but Amnesty International has warned about the consequences of such a transfer.

According to Amnesty International Slovenia's, Natasa Posel, the deadly cargo aboard the 'MV Kathrin' should not reach Israel because there is a clear risk that such cargo could contribute to war crimes against Palestinian civilians.

Since the beginning of the genocidal Israeli regime's crimes against the Gaza Strip on October 7th, America has been the biggest financial, arms, and diplomatic supporter of this regime.
