Tehran Friday Prayers Leader calls for serious probe into Tabas incident

Tehran provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami emphasized on the serious follow-up of the Tabas mine incident.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Tehran provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami emphasized on the serious follow-up of the Tabas mine incident.

Addressing the sermon of this week’s Friday prayers held in Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla of Tehran, Khatami said that more than 50 workers died, 15 others were injured in the Tabas incident and what is important is that these disasters must be carefully investigated.

If there is negligence or possible fault on the part of natural and legal persons, it should be pursued separately, Khatami stressed.

On September 21, 2024, an explosion occurred at a coal mine in Tabas, South Khorasan Province, Iran. The incident killed at least 51 people and injured 20 more.

He also spoke about Zionist regime's crime against Gaza and said, "Zionists have been committing genocide in front of the eyes of the world for a year, killing children, killing more than 40,000 people."

International organizations are dead; They are the organization of governments instead of people's organizations, he said.

The US, France, UK and some neighboring countries that have not yet severed their relationship with Zionist regime are involved in the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon.

Ayatollah Khatami also concluded that the winners are the Palestinian Resistance field and Hezbollah.
