AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky has stated,” Hijab is a command from God and anyone who opposes it is fighting God and Islam.”
Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, in his speech on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the last day of Unity Week, expressed some points in order to create unity among different Islamic schools.
Pointing out that the personality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the most perfect model for humanity since God has sent him to complete morality, he clarified,” Whoever sets Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as his role model will achieve salvation in this world and the hereafter.”
He pointed out,” The Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the axis of unity among all Muslims, and they consider him as a guiding pole, therefore we should revolve around his personality to strengthen unity among ourselves.”
He continued to emphasize adherence to the instructions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and to the Qur'an as the only solution to the current conditions of the Islamic world.
In his closing remarks, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky condemned the blasphemous actions of the Nigerian police, who arrested several Arbaeen mourners, including women, and forcibly removed their hijabs, and described this action as a provocative act and disrespect for the standards of Islam and the symbol of Muslim identity.
He concluded his remarks by saying that Hijab is an order from God and anyone who opposes it is fighting God and Islam.
