AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Monday, Israeli occupation authorities prevented diplomats accredited to the State of Palestine from entering the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reported that the diplomats were on a field tour in the al-Khalil Governorate and its old town, WAFA News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The ministry stated that the restriction aimed to prevent diplomats from witnessing changes and violations at the mosque.
In cooperation with the governorate, the ministry organized the tour to inform 30 ambassadors, heads of mission, and representatives of international organizations about the situation in the governorate and its old town.
Palestinians stress that the sacred mosque is experiencing continuous violations by occupation forces and settlers' militias aimed at Judaizing the site.
