AhlulBayt News Agency: The head of the Lebanese Red Cross thanked the Iranian Red Crescent in separate written and telephone messages for its medical support for the wounded in the Lebanese terrorist incidents.
Antoine El-Zoughbi, head of the Lebanese Red Cross, thanked the Iranian Red Crescent for its rapid response in Beirut and providing specialized medical services, as well as transferring 95 wounded from the recent terrorist incidents in the country to Iran. In a written message, he also expressed his gratitude to the Iranian Red Crescent.
According to Pars Today, a 24-member team of Iranian Red Crescent doctors and surgeons arrived in Lebanon on August 28, less than 24 hours after the terrorist incidents of exploding pagers in the country, and transferred 95 wounded to Iran for further treatment.
According to Pirhossein Kolivand, head of the Iranian Red Crescent, many of the wounded in the Lebanese terrorist attacks were injured in the hands, face, and eyes, and 2,300 of these wounded were treated on an outpatient basis by the Iranian team.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, visited some of the wounded of this attack who were transferred to Iran at the Farabi Eye Hospital in Tehran on Friday and was briefed on their treatment process.
During the terrorist attack of exploding pagers and some electronic communication devices in Lebanon, which occurred under the direct order of the Zionist regime on Tuesday and Wednesday, more than 3,000 people were injured, and on Wednesday night, 95 of the wounded were transferred to Mehrabad Airport and then to Tehran hospitals along with the Iranian ambassador to undergo treatment.
