Imam Al-Hadi Mosque opens in Yemen's Taiz

Acting governor of Taiz, Ahmed al-Masawi, inaugurated the Imam al-Hadi Mosque in the al-Hawban area on Thursday.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Acting governor of Taiz, Ahmed al-Masawi, inaugurated the Imam al-Hadi Mosque in the al-Hawban area on Thursday.

The mosque, which spans two floors and covers an area of 3,600 square meters, was constructed at a cost of 350 million riyals, funded by a benefactor with oversight from the governorate's social unit, Yemeni official news agency SABA reported.

Al-Masawi praised the efforts involved in establishing the mosque, highlighting its significance as a vital resource for the community, which previously lacked such facilities. He expressed hope that this model would inspire the development of other mosques in the province, integrating their facilities and services with the Endowments Authority.

Mohammed al-Khalidi, acknowledged the benefactor's role in partnering with the social unit to open the mosque, coinciding with the Holy Prophet's (PBUH) birthday.

Mohammed al-Maliki, Director of the Endowments Authority Office in the province, emphasized that the mosque’s inauguration reflects the deep faith of the Yemeni people.

He also commended the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council for their dedication to mosques and historical Islamic sites.

Hamis al-Habari, a social unit official, noted that the mosque aims to serve as a comprehensive educational center, offering prayer services, Quranic studies, Arabic language classes, and other religious education.
