AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine organized the central annual celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and his grandson Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him).
The ceremony was attended by the secretary general of the holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, a number of its officials and heads of departments, delegations of the holy shrines of Imam Ali, Imam al-Kadhem and Imam al-Jawad and of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon them), and a large gathering of the service of the holy shrine and visitors."
The celebration began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by the general secretariat of the holy shrine delivered by Sheikh Ali Mohan, in which he congratulated the attendees on the birth of the Master of creation; the noble Prophet Mohammad(Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and his grandson Imam as-Sadeq(peace be upon him), and mentioned aspects of their lives and personalities.
A member of the central celebrations committee at the holy shrine; Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said that "the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine organized the central annual celebration of the auspicious anniversaries of the Great Prophet Mohammad(Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and his grandson Imam as-Sadeq(peace be upon him), at the Qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him), in the presence of a large gathering of the servants and visitors of the holy shrine.
He added that" the ceremony included honoring the winners participating in the electronic competition launched by the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, "pointing out that"there are supporting activities such as a festive stay in the green belt and in the Al-Kafeel Nurseries Group, in addition to the mobile ceremony that roams the holy city of Karbala on the day of the auspicious birth anniversary."
A group of poets, including Ali Al-Saffar, Firas al-Asadi and Mohammed Al-Fatimi, and a number of Radoods, including Mohammed Al-Tamimi and Ammar al-Kenani, ascended the celebration platform to deliver poems and chants about this auspicious anniversary and recall these two great personalities, in addition to spreading decorations and distributing sweets and gifts to the audience.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine concluded the ceremony by honoring the winners of the cultural competition, which it launched on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Great Prophet Mohammad(Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and his grandson Imam Jafar as-Sadeq(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
